POWEROIL offers AdBlue® brand of Diesel Exhaust Fluid or SCR Fluid approved by VDA of Germany. It reduces the harmful NOX in diesel engine exhaust by treating the exhaust gas before releasing into the atmosphere. It is used in passenger and commercial new generation vehicles fitted with SCR.
AdBlue® is directly injected into the exhaust gas, serving as a reducing agent. Thereby, ammonia is released and subsequently reacts with the nitric oxides on the catalyst to elementary nitrogen and water. Atmospheric nitrogen and water are natural constituents of the air we breathe. Hence, the amount of nitric oxides in the emission can be reduced by 85%. AdBlue® should not be considered a fuel, as it is not injected in the combustion chamber but in the exhaust system.
The product is licensed by VDA (German Automotive Industry Association) registered trademark AdBlue® as per IS0 22241 standards.
